Our Story
A back injury in 1998 first introduced Steve to Pilates via yoga. After doing Pilates for two years, he began Pilates instructor training in the Body, Arts and Science method from the USA. Under the guidance of some of the most experienced teachers in Australia, he was amazed at the effect of the Pilates method on his body, and regained mobility, stability and strength. It was at this time he saw the possibilities within the industry to actually progress his interest on to making Pilates equipment. Steve has gone on to compete in many triathlons and has been a finisher of two half Ironman and two full Ironman triathlons.
Steve’s working career origins started out as a Sheet metal worker. This involved direct experience in all facets of this industry, including specialist stainless steel fabrication. Having established this solid trade background, the cross over to working with timber along side stainless steel was a natural and smooth progression.
Steve has a keen eye for detail and ensures his equipment is always of an exceptional quality. This ongoing dedication to producing consistently excellent equipment has ensured his equipment is constantly in high demand.
As part of his team Steve works directly with dedicated furniture makers and experienced upholsterers to produce his distinctively stylish, hand crafted all Australian made Pilates Equipment.
Steve qualified as a Pilates Instructor in 2006, under the guidance of the training certification program with Pilates International, based in Sydney. Steve is passionate about the rehabilitative nature of Pilates and continues to teach to this day. It is because of this passion and experience that Steve has a unique insight into the needs of this niche industry. Steve has a long standing working relationship with many Physiotherapists and Pilates professionals Australia wide and this list continues to grow by reputation via “word of mouth” referrals by his happy customers.
